Winter Music, and why downward-facing dog can save any lost soul

Yesterday was a weird day. My mascara kept smearing across the baggy skin under my eyeballs, and my pants were so itchy I thought I was going to just take them off.

I ended up crying the whole drive home for no reason, save the obvious fact that being 26 years old is the hardest damn thing in the whole wide world. When I got home, my newly unemployed roommate was in a surprisingly upbeat mood, all smiles, and saying things like, "How was your day?!"

Smiley face. Smiley face.

I resisted the urge to go sit crisscross applesauce in the front yard during a thunderstorm, and instead opted for what I always, always need on days like that:

Endorphins don't play, y'all. Neither does balancing on one toe, breathing belly breaths, or inversions.

Once my mental and physical self was righted, I sat down and put together a little playlist of some of my favorite Winter songs. These are songs for cold nights and warm drinks. I hope you enjoy:

And just in case you were wondering ...

Yes. Yes, I am doing a very special Gimme, Gimme tomorrow. Wink, Wink.

Tis the Season, y'all!

Thank you for that morning wintry soundtrack, I needed it. I have never heard of grooveshark and will look into it, but if you ever feel like sharing more playlists I will listen to them! I also wish I could find a place to do yoga again at a good price. Classes are uber-pricy here.
